We also got the rest of the framing done to begin siding tomorrow. We will start by installing the soffit and fascia on the eaves and then siding after that. We should have some nice photos of the finished product soon.

Wednesday

The roof is on at the Bard Rd. house. It feels real good to have the roof on and no possibilities for leaks! Now its time to get ready for all the siding, cosmetics and finish work. We are also going to be building another small gable end and cover over a side patio door next week. From there its new attic insulation and siding. Thats all for this week, its time for a much needed holiday break!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Tuesday

We installed half of the roof shingles on the Bard Rd. project today! Should have it all roofed by the days end tomorrow. Turns out we'll have to do some additional framing. The homeowners decided to add an additional covered area over another slider door and also add a faux eave to give the side of the house the look of having another gable. We also had two guys in North Muskegon today replacing a rotted roof on a carport.

Monday

We had some guys work this weekend to get the Bard Rd. job dried in! It's a good thing with all the rain we got today. The roofing was delivered today and we should be laying shinlges by mid day tomorrow. The homeowner wanted to add "eyebrows" at the eave ends and an addition eave line to give the look of an additional gable end. It all starting to come together!

Thursday

Well we got all the demo finished today at the Bard Rd. project! A house sure looks strange with no roof on it at all. After all the old roof system was removed we had to reinforce the top of the walls so that the new roof trusses will sit above the old ceiling joists. Tomorrow we will be setting the trusses!

Wednesday

Going strong on the Bard Rd. project! we almost have all of the old roof structure off now. The unexpected thunder shower with hail put a little of a damper on our morning but the afternoon went good. We also got half of the new footings dug that will support the new roof structure. If the weather cooperates, we should have the new trusses set by the end of the day Friday. Tomorrow we will be building up the walls for additional support.

We started the Bard Rd. job today. We tore off all of the shingles and the siding off the peaks. Tomorrow we will start tearing off the roof structure. We also got some concrete cut out for the new footings for the new structure.

Monday

We finished the Riverwood siding job toaday! With the exception of a few pieces of vinyl "shake" siding that we were short. It should be in  this Wednesday to completely finish the job. It really looks sharp. We used some premium siding with two different accent designs. Tomorrow we will pack up and head over to W. Bard Rd. to remove an entire roof system. We will be installing new oversized trusses on the house which will extend over a back deck to creat a coverd porch area. I hope the wheather is cooperative. I'll have the photos of the siding job posted once we finish the last little bit later this week!

The Riverwood Siding job is almost complete! We'll be putting the finishing touches on it on Monday! I'll have some photos posted then! Still waiting on the permit for our next project but we have plenty to do. While a few guys are finishing up the siding on Monday, me and another guy will be heading to Muskegon to install 11 replacement windows and a couple of doors.

Thursday

We're almost done with the Riverwood Rd. siding job! We should have it 99% complete at the end of the day tomorrow. It's really looking good and the homeowners are very excited to start seeing the finished product. I spent the afternoon getting all the paperwoork ready for our next project. We are going to be removing the entire roof system off of a house in Dalton Township down to the top of the walls. Then installing new trusses and a new roof! I just hope the weather cooperates!

Wednesday

The siding job on Riverwood Dr. is coming along good! We got the last of the windows installed today. They were a bit of a challenge but they're installed never the less. Had to do some different framing because they were circular top windows. This house is really staring to look sharp. We did find out that we are going to be a few peices of some specialty siding short to complete the front until next week. The rest of the job should be complete by the end of the week or the beginning of next week!

We should have the siding about wrapped up this week. I should have some of those photos to post tomorrow for that too!

Monday

The Siding project on Riverwood Dr. is moving right along! We should have it wrapped up by the end of the week or pretty close to finished. The garage doors for the garage on Sheridan Rd. finally arrived this past weekend so me and one of the guys installed those today. We also put an opener on one of the doors. We'll be heading back in the morning to put the finishing touches on it and we'll have some photos posted tomorrow!

Thursday

The weather didn't cooperate for us today. We were only able to get a few hours worth of work done! Everytime we got set up, it started raining on us. We'll just have to hope the tomorrow is better. The day wasn't a total loss though. We got a little bit done and I got caught up on some paperwork and took care of some errands.

Wednesday

Had a great days work today at the siding job on Riverwood Dr. We just about have all the aluminum on the eaves and all the trim finished. Tomorrow we should be able to get a good amount of the actual siding on the house. Its a pretty big house so we'll definately be there into next week. We also had a couple more windows show up today. We're going to remove two trapazoid windows and replace them with circle tops! It'll take some framing but should turn out nice!

Tuesday

The guys were all over  at the Riverwood Dr. siding project today. We're making some good progress on the aluminum eaves and installing the trim and accesories. I was flying solo today! Installed some tile on a back landing in Norton Shores and then headed over to Best Buy to replace a damaged gutter system behind the building.

Monday

It's really starting to get cold out in the mornings! Time to get out the Carharts, but that all part of winter. We are still waiting for the garage doors to come in  so that we can fiinish up the garage on Sheridan Rd. In the meantime, we're starting to make some progress on the siding job on Riverwood Dr. The whole house is wrapped in Tyvek and all the prepwork is done. We started puting on some of the aluminum eaves toaday. We also took out 4 old windows and replaced them with new Anderson windows. It should start coming together quickly now!
