Monday

Well, we tried to go out to Twin Lake to install the garage door and it turns out we had some of the wrong parts. We finished preping for the remaining concrete. From there we headed back to Muskegon to finish up the two decks that we started on Christmas Eve off Marquette St. I headed down to the south end of Grand Haven to tied up a few lose ends on a bathroom remodle that I subcontracted out. Needless to say, a lot of time was spent driving going from Twin Lake to Grand Haven! Hopefully tomorrow we'll be able to be a little more productive.

Tuesday

We installed half of the roof shingles on the Bard Rd. project today! Should have it all roofed by the days end tomorrow. Turns out we'll have to do some additional framing. The homeowners decided to add an additional covered area over another slider door and also add a faux eave to give the side of the house the look of having another gable. We also had two guys in North Muskegon today replacing a rotted roof on a carport.

Monday, November 22, 2010

Wednesday, November 17, 2010

Wednesday

Going strong on the Bard Rd. project! we almost have all of the old roof structure off now. The unexpected thunder shower with hail put a little of a damper on our morning but the afternoon went good. We also got half of the new footings dug that will support the new roof structure. We are going to be removing the entire roof system off of a house in Dalton Township down to the top of the walls. Then installing new trusses and a new roof! I just hope the weather cooperates!

Wednesday, November 10, 2010

Wednesday

The siding job on Riverwood Dr. is coming along good! We got the last of the windows installed today. They were a bit of a challenge but they're installed never the less. Had to do some different framing because they were circular top windows. This house is really staring to look sharp. We did find out that we are going to be a few peices of some specialty siding short to complete the front until next week. It was a little too nasty and windy today to install house wrap to continue with the siding job. We instead went over to Sullivan Township to finished an unfinished covered porch. It was the same house we did a bathroom remodel at about a month ago. From the sounds of it we will be building another garage there next spring. Heading back in the morning to wrap things up. The materials that we've been waiting for for the Sheridan garage should also be in tomorrow afternoon!

Monday, October 25, 2010

Wednesday, October 6, 2010

Interesting Wednesday!

Wow! What a day. We ran into a couple of snaggs on the first day of our garage project. We have to have a gas line rerouted because it just so happens to be right where the garage is going. It's going to delay things a bit, but, here's to hoping DTE Energy will keep thing going. We may be heading over to Norton Shores to install a steel roof on a horse barn at a clydesdale farm. Tomorrows meeting with a DTE engineer will tell all!
